Welcome to Kentucky 1871
Some places have a way of calling us home
For more than 150 years, our family has cared for a piece of land tucked into the hills of Eastern Kentucky, along the banks of Blaine Creek.
Generations have lived here, farmed here, raised families, and left their stories in the land.
My own journey backs was unexpected. What began as a handful of flowers growing in a North Carolina backyard eventually led me home to the place my family has known since 1871.
Today, Kentucky 1871 is about more than just growing flowers. It's about honoring those who came before us, caring for the land during our turn with it, and creating a place where others can slow down, gather, and experience the beauty of Appalachia.
The flowers brought me home.

Sheri is so talented, her bouquets are stunning and she provides information on how to keep our fresh cut blooms looking beautiful for as long as possible.
